Dawn Inman-Wyness is the founder of Orana Care. She is passionate about person-centred, committed support for people with disabilities. With professional and personal experience inthe Disability and Health Care System she gives you access to experience and understanding that you only receive from people who have walked similar paths.  

Dawn lost a close friend passing away at an early age from Fronto Temporal Dementia. She had, struggled to find good care for her friend in the often-overcrowded Aged Care Homes with inappropriate staffing levels for the high care needs of her loved one. Dawn is also acarer for a family member with disability and healthcare needs which was the catalyst for creating and launching Orana Care.

Dawn’s professional background has also given her extensive experience, having spent years working as CEO, DON and CFO at aged care and healthcare facilities, also working as an Aged Care Assessor for the Australian Government enlighten Dawn to the pitfalls of the care system.   Dawn has many years of experience on the Boards of leading Aged Care Homes and Mental Health organisations, in various position of Chairman and Finance Director.  Dawn was also a deputy chair of the Victoria Division of Healthcare Special Interest Committee with the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Dawn’s wealth of knowledge in corporate governance, financial accounting, aged care, retirement villages, health and disability, mental health, and housing lead her to launch Orana Care and Consulting. Through this she hopes to raise the standards of best practice and use her business savvy and personal experience navigating the often-complex NDIS system to assist as many families as possible and put them at ease.
