When you, a loved one or your carer begins to consider accessing living and accommodation supports, as well as the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), it’s often a difficult and daunting road to navigate. Orana Care aims to make this journey as easy as possible by giving people and their carers a road map to getting the best opportunities and supports. 

Dawn Inman- Wyness, the founder of Orana Care, sadly lost a close friend at an early age, he passed away from Fronto Temporal Dementia. Dawn struggled to find suitable care for her friend in the often overcrowded Aged Care Homes, this highlighted the need for more appropriate care for young people with neurological disorders.  Dawn is also a carer for a family member with disability and healthcare needs which was another catalyst for creating and launching Orana Care.

Individuals with a disability want to be able to make the fundamental everyday choices which the rest of us take for granted: what to eat and when to eat it, when to get up and what time to go to bed. At Orana Care we support and encourage autonomy and give the people we support the chance to live a self-determined life and make their own decisions about their life and future. We believe everyone should be a valued member of the community.
